Musette's fleece is from a breed of Longwool sheep. She is a rare heritage breed & by purchasing her wool, you are helping to preserve this rare breed!
What makes Musette's wool so special are her luscious, wavy, ivory locks tinted with amber. They have a pearl like sheen & a silky touch! A very chic, very soft & luxurious fleece!

*use as a pillow "cover" simply place square fleece over an existing pillow

Felting is a labor intensive art with each finished piece involving many hours of work - all done by hand! The end result is undeniably lovely and because of the hand made nature, you can be assured that no two pieces will ever be the same (in fact, a sheep's fleece will always grow back in with subtle differences from year to year) - thus assuring you of original and functional art for your home.
PLEASE NOTE:
* Prior to the actual felting process, I spend a great deal of time removing bits of bedding and vegetable matter from each fleece. You will, however, expect to find some remaining vegetable matter such as hay, straw, etc. which is more evident in light & dark colored fleeces
* My felted fleeces are entirely hand made and hand washable and respond to use much differently than a tanned hide. Each fleece has its own characteristics & some will shed more than others. If you have a particular use in mind, feel free to contact me so I can do my best to assist you in selecting the most suitable fleece for your needs.
*once completed, I hand wash each fleece using an all natural plant based cleanser which is safe for the environment and restores the natural pH of the wool. They are then set out to dry under the sun.
