My felted tassels are artistically designed to accentuate the inherent beauty of natural wool locks. To make my tassels, I use natural,, hand shorn sheep wool.
This unique tassel features locks from a gorgeous Longwool sheep which is a rare heritage breed & listed as threatened by the Livestock Conservancy. By purchasing their wool you are helping g to preserve this beautiful breed.

THE PROCESS:
Felting is a labor of love with each piece being designed & artfully crafted entirely by hand. The end result is undeniably lovely and because of the hand made nature, you can be assured that no two will ever be the same. In fact, they will assuredly be "imperfectly perfect" with all of the characteristics of the natural wool emerging in each carefully designed piece. That, to me, is what makes each such a beautiful art piece for you to both use and enjoy!
PLEASE NOTE:
The wool & locks I use is purchased directly from & supports small farms & shepherds. You may find bits of hay or wild vegetation occasionally within which adds a unique artistic & organic quality to each hand desined piece.
